Screen Overview #
Connect and manage external Energy Monitoring Devices (CT, Smart Meter, etc.) to monitor home energy usage and use Auto Solar and Load Balancing features.
You can select an installed device or add a new device to link home power usage information to the charger.
* Selectable and addable devices are provided differently by country.
Feature Details #
- Energy Monitoring Tab
Location: Energy Device Screen
Functionality: You can check the currently active Energy Monitoring Device status and move to the device selection or add screen.
Notes: If there is an activated device, that device is displayed as Active Device. - Device List
Location: Energy Monitoring Tab
Functionality: You can check the list of registered Energy Monitoring Devices.
Notes: Pressing a card list allows checking detailed device information (connection status, registration date, etc.). - Add Device
Location: Bottom of Select Device Screen
Functionality: Links a new Energy Monitoring Device to the charger.
Notes: Only one device can be set to Active status at a time. Addable device types may differ depending on country and service environment. - Select Device
Location: Select Device Screen
Functionality: Select the Energy Monitoring Device to use. You can select basic provided accessories (CT, Smart Meter, etc.) or add registerable devices.
Notes: Energy Monitoring Device addition is only possible for devices supported by Humax Charge. - Device Detail
Location: When selecting registered device
Functionality: Check detailed information of the device (name, serial number, connection status, etc.) and delete (Delete) the device if necessary.
Notes: For basic provided accessories, device detail screen may not be provided.
Specific Scenarios #
- Add Energy Monitoring Device (e.g. Netherlands – Sparky)
Procedure to register Sparky device.
→ Step 1: Tap the Select button on the Energy Monitoring screen to move to the Select Device screen.
→ Step 2: Tap the Add button on the Select Device screen to enter the device addition screen.
→ Step 3: Select the device to add (e.g., Sparky) from the list.
→ Step 4: Scan the device’s QR code or manually enter the serial number to register the device.
→ Note: Sparky P1 dongle can be linked to Humax Charge app after registering in Chargee app first. - When Energy Monitoring Device is not selected
Corresponds to when Energy Monitoring Device is not selected or the device in use is deleted.
→ Load Balancing, Auto Solar feature active status changes to Off, and those features cannot be used until an Energy Monitoring Device is registered.
→ If charging is in progress, charging is stopped for safety.
Technical Details #
- Energy Monitoring Device transmits real-time power or current data to the charger.
- Transmitted data is used for Load Balancing calculation.
- Data reception may be temporarily suspended depending on network or device connection status.
FAQ #
- Q. Do I need to register an Energy Monitoring Device?
A. It is not mandatory. However, if you do not register an Energy Monitoring Device, you cannot use charging features such as Load Balancing and Auto Solar. - Q. Can I use multiple Energy Monitoring Devices at once?
A. No. Only one device can be set as Active Device at a time. If you select another device, the existing device is automatically deactivated. - Q. What is Active Device?
A. It refers to the device currently providing actual energy data to the charger. Only information from the device set as Active Device is used for charging control. - Q. Sometimes devices are not visible in the list when adding?
A. Energy Monitoring Device list is provided differently depending on country and service environment. You can add devices supported in the current service area. - Q. Can I delete basic provided accessories (CT, etc.) too?
A. For basic provided accessories, device detail screen or delete feature is not provided. In this case, you can switch by selecting another device as Active Device.
