{"id":5306,"date":"2023-08-11T01:29:18","date_gmt":"2023-08-11T00:29:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/humaxcharging.com\/uk\/?post_type=docs&#038;p=5306"},"modified":"2024-01-19T07:57:02","modified_gmt":"2024-01-19T07:57:02","slug":"wiring-instructions","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/humaxcharging.com\/global\/supporthub\/wiring-instructions\/","title":{"rendered":"Wiring Instructions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">External Equipment Required (RCD Protection)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We recommend a RCBO (Residual Current operated circuit Breaker with integral Overcurrent protection) or RCCB (Residual Current Circuit Breaker) + Circuit Breaker is installed.<br><br>A Type A RCBO with earth leakage protection of 30mA and 40A current rating must be installed separately in the consumer unit by the installer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Specification for RCBO, RCCB + Circuit Breaker<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"564\" height=\"208\" src=\"https:\/\/humaxcharging.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/spec1.svg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8930\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Device Built-in Protection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PEN Fault Protection<\/strong><br>The charge point is equipped with PEN Fault Protection and an automatic disconnection system which satisfies the requirements of BS7671:2018 Amendment 2:2022 722.411.4.1 (iv) the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.<br><br><strong>Residual DC Device<\/strong><br>The charge point is equipped with 6mA DC Current Leakage Protection function which conducts an automated test for the 6mA DC (IEC 62955).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Type A + 6mA DC Leakage Current Protection<\/strong><br>RCD Type A and appropriate equipment ensure disconnection of the power supply in case of DC fault current above 6 mA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CAUTION:<\/strong> Certified RCBO should be installed upstream close to the charging station.
