FEATURES
Intelligent, connected, and future ready charging
Vehicle Identification
Thanks to the built-in PLC module, your charger automatically recognises your EV’s unique ID — so only your vehicle can charge. That means greater security, no energy theft, and total peace of mind.

Intelligent Charging
Powered by two intelligent technologies:
Vehicle Identification – Instantly recognises your vehicle and adapts charging based on its specific battery size.
Tarrif Management – Automatically prioritises off-peak electricity rates for maximum savings.
Together, they deliver true cost savings and better control on your charging – helping you get more mileage out of your energy and your budget.

Auto Solar – Seamless Solar Charging
Compatible with your solar setup and smart home system, SolarSmart™ lets you charge your EV using clean, free solar energy. It also intelligently diverts excess solar power to your car only after your home’s energy needs are met — maximising efficiency and reducing your reliance on the grid.

Future Capabilities

V2G
Stay ahead with hardware that’s ready for tomorrow. V2G capability means you’ll be able to send electricity back to the grid, while V2H lets you use your EV to power your home when needed.*

Smart Tariff Integration
We are actively collaborating with all major energy providers to integrate their tariffs into our app. This will enable automated smart charging by scheduling sessions when electricity is at its cheapest or greenest, using real-time tariff data—removing the need for manual input. It will offer users significant cost savings by taking full advantage of off-peak or dynamic pricing.

V2H-Ready
The MX7 includes built-in ISO 15118 communication protocol, making it future-ready for bidirectional charging and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) functionality. We are currently working with several vehicle manufacturers to ensure seamless charger–vehicle interoperability.
Important V2G & V2H Disclaimer
Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) functionality is not controlled by the EV charger itself. While the MX7 is V2G-harware ready—meaning it includes the necessary PLC module and supports the ISO 15118 protocol. The actual ability to use V2G or V2H depends primarily on your vehicle manufacturer enabling this feature.
V2G capability also requires collaboration between your vehicle, energy tariff provider, and local grid operator. Availability can vary depending on your region, vehicle compatibility, and local infrastructure. In some cases, selling power back to the grid may also require a software subscription.
We recommend checking your vehicle model and make and energy provider for the most up-to-date information on V2G readiness and support.

INSTALLATION
We’ve Got Installation Covered!
We take care of everything—from the site survey to installation, setup, and even support with required applications. Choose from our trusted network of certified installers.

Do you have questions?
• V2G (Vehicle to Grid): Sends energy from the EV battery back to the grid to reduce
electricity costs or generate revenue.
• V2H (Vehicle to Home): Uses EV battery power to supply a home’s electricity (useful
during outages or peak-rate hours).
• V2L (Vehicle to Load): Powers devices and equipment directly from the vehicle
(camping, construction sites, emergency backup, etc.).
Currently, these functions are not commercially supported. AC-based V2G/V2H requires both the vehicle (including its onboard charger) and the
charger to be approved by the DNO (Distribution Network Operator), such as through G99/G100 certification. MX7 hardware supports ISO 15118 communication, but the software and certification process are still in progress. Commercial availability will be announced once ready.
• Standard Type 2 cable
• Vehicle and charger that support bidirectional power flow and ISO 15118
• DNO approval and enrolments in an eligible tariff
• Some features may require a software subscription
Not at present. Future support may be possible through certified accessories, depending on UK regulations and grid approval.
Vehicle manufacturer support, enrolment in a relevant tariff, and in some cases a software subscription.
It depends on your installation, tariff, and usage patterns.
High-energy households (e.g., 2 EVs + solar PV + heat pump) have reported savings of up to £200/month, but this will vary depending on installation, tariff, and usage patterns.
• Intelligent Tariff: Integration in progress, support coming soon
• Agile Tariff: Not officially supported yet, under technical review
• Vehicle identification: Automatically adjusts charging to the vehicle’s battery size
• Tariff management: Prioritizes charging during off-peak hours to save money
Example: Plug in at 7 pm → minimal charging during peak rates → full charging from 11 pm onward
Yes. It works with or without SOC data. If SOC is available, the charger can automatically detect the battery level without setting a target.
Yes. It prioritizes home energy needs first, then directs surplus solar power to EV charging.
